Eleventh Workshop • 22–26 June 2026 • Modra – Harmónia
The eleventh meeting of the project participants will take place at Penzión Harmónia in Modra. The workshop is organised by the Slovak Mathematical Society of the Union of Slovak Mathematicians and Physicists in cooperation with the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics, Comenius University, and will be held from 22 June to 26 June 2026.
The workshop is primarily intended for researchers participating in the APVV project Exceptional Structures in Discrete Mathematics: Properties, Constructions and Classifications and in the bilateral Slovak–Hungarian project SK-HU-24-0010 Geometric and Algebraic Methods in Extremal Graph Theory .
The organisers of the workshop are Róbert Jajcay (FMFI UK), Ján Karabáš (Institute of Mathematics SAS, FEI STU), Roman Nedela (Institute of Mathematics SAS, UWB), Jozef Širáň (Faculty of Civil Engineering STU), and Martin Škoviera (FMFI UK).
The workshop is supported by the project APVV-23-0076, Exceptional Structures in Discrete Mathematics: Properties, Constructions and Classifications , and by the project SK-HU-24-0010, Geometric and Algebraic Methods in Extremal Graph Theory .
Modra is a small town situated at the foothills of the Little Carpathians. The journey from Bratislava takes approximately thirty minutes. Modra is well known for its traditional majolica pottery production and is one of the most important wine-producing centres in the region.

During registration, each participant may choose one or more topics that will form the basis of the scientific programme. These topics determine the discussion groups and potential collaborative projects. Discussions concerning topics and projects are considered the main purpose of the workshop. It is expected that talks presented within the organised programme will be related to one or more selected topics. Participants are encouraged to choose topics corresponding to the research themes of the supporting projects.
The preliminary list of topics includes:
The programme will be organised into thematic blocks, which may consist of lectures, contributed talks, moderated discussions, and related activities. The implementation of individual blocks is left to the groups involved in the respective research topics. Block coordinators supervise the individual sessions, but are not obliged to fill them with formal presentations.
